Choppin and Lodge was an almost forgotten proud old city tailoring name when Richard Wainright and Paul Wilkinson revived it. Together with master cutter Malcolm Jackson they bring the heritage values of quality and service with modern twists on design and presentation. It's the unique mix of classic, clean tailoring with fabric and design that is personal to the customer. It's true bespoke tailoring.

Whilst we can advise on style, cut and colour, and are well at home with traditional design, we will be delighted to work with you to bring your own ideas and thoughts to reality. Our love of experimenting with new designs and blending different influences is what separates us from the masses.

Richard Wainwright

From running the tailoring department at Burburry to front-of-house for Huntsman, Richard has worked at every level of the made-to-measure and bespoke menswear industry. With many years experience for Gieves and Hawkes, Lanvin, Brioni, Aquascutum and Chester Barrie, Richard has a keen eye for style, fit and colour.

A master of his craft, Richard is renowned for helping customers put together the whole outfit, making sure that the excellent Choppin and Lodge garments are accented by the right tie, shirt, square and shoes.

Richard has customers in every walk of life, from foreign dignitaries and chief executives of major companies, to the groom looking for that special one off. Richard is the leading proponent of what he calls English Hybrid - marrying the traditional techniques that make English tailoring the world's envy with the very best in cutting-edge modern fabrics.

Paul Wilkinson

Paul has been working in the world of bespoke clothing for over 9 years, helping develop the services offered by Hunter and Lords, Salts and now Choppin and Lodge. Paul has a very wide customer base including up-and-coming city brokers, sportsmen and media executives. He favours a youthful, lighter style and is especially keen that clothes should bring joy. We would all like to congratulate Paul and Sam on their marriage last week.
